The trend
What is the Gangnam Style AI trend?
PSY's 2012 hit is back on TikTok, this time as a selfie. On October 5, 2026 three friends filmed themselves mouthing "Gangnam Style" on a night street in Gangnam, Seoul, with one front camera swinging from face to face. It passed 18 million views, and since mid-October people remake it with AI, swapping in their own friends, movie characters and celebrities. Gangnam Style AI Dance makes it from your photos, with no template or editing.
The song
"Gangnam Style" by PSY, released in July 2012. Its video was the first on YouTube to pass a billion views, and the horse dance went around the world. TikTok has brought it back several times since.
The clip
@emiliyyam posted "gangnam style in gangnam" on October 5, 2026: three friends in one wide-angle selfie on a lit-up street with a Korean flag behind them. The camera moves in on the middle one, swings right, whips left, then comes back to the middle. One take, no cuts.
The remakes
Within a week the same shot was copied step for step in Almaty, and @emiliyyam filmed it again in Itaewon. Trios had danced to the song on TikTok before, but this camera move is what people copy now.
The AI wave
From October 19, 2026 the top versions swap three new people into the clip, from movie wizards to politicians. Most are made with AI from photos. A Gangnam Style AI generator like ours does it from one group photo or up to three photos, with no template or prompt.

The video we recreate
Our trio follows the original move for move: the three-person selfie, then a close-up on each of you. The second post is the same shot copied in Almaty four days later.
One photo each. You take the middle and the first close-up; the camera swings to the friend on the right, whips to the one on the left, and comes back to you.
Just you

How to add the Gangnam Style sound on TikTok
Your full video comes with the sound, ready to post. Posting the silent MP4 with TikTok's own sound instead keeps the song licensed and puts your video on the trend's sound page. We matched the sound against the original clip; here is where it starts.

It is the October 2026 TikTok trend built on a clip by @emiliyyam: three friends in one wide-angle selfie on a night street in Gangnam, Seoul, mouthing PSY's "Gangnam Style" while the camera swings to each of them. Since October 19 people use AI to put three new people into that shot.
How do I make a Gangnam Style AI video?
Upload your photo for the middle spot and up to two friends, or one group photo, and tap the button. We make a free preview first; if you like it, unlock the full 15-second video and download it. There is no prompt to write.
Do I need three photos?
No. One photo is enough: you take the middle and our two dancers, Juno and Ollie, fill the left and right. With two photos only the empty spot gets a dancer. A group photo can fill all three spots at once.
Can I use a group photo?
Yes. Upload one photo with up to three people and each lands in the spot they stand in, left to right; swap places with one tap. More people in the photo? Pick who to use.
Can I be all three people?
Not yet. In our tests one photo copied into every spot didn't hold up in the left close-up, so for now the empty spots go to our dancers.
Does the video include the Gangnam Style song?
Yes. Full videos come with the sound lined up the way the original clip uses it, and you can also download a silent MP4. To use TikTok's own sound instead, post the silent one, add "Gangnam Style" and start it at 0:02. The song belongs to PSY and YG Entertainment, and we grant no rights to it.
Is there a free Gangnam Style AI generator?
Yes. Every device gets one free preview at 480p. It shows the first 4 seconds with a watermark: the three of you together, then your close-up. The full video adds the close-ups on the right and left, the whip pan and the wave at the end.
Do our clothes change?
No. Everyone keeps their own face, hair and the clothes in their photo. The night street, the Korean flag and the city lights come from the original clip.
What photos work best?
A clear face for each person, facing the camera, evenly lit, from the chest up. A group selfie works when the faces aren't tiny. Each person gets a close-up, so a sharp face matters more than the background. Avoid sunglasses, masks, heavy filters and tiny faces in wide shots.
How long is the video and how fast is it made?
15 seconds, landscape 16:9 like the original, at 480p or 720p HD, as an MP4 with no watermark. The free preview takes about 5 minutes and a full video usually takes a few minutes. You can close the page; it waits for you under My videos.
How much does a Gangnam Style AI video cost?
The preview is free. A full video uses 50 credits at 480p or 100 at 720p HD. That works out to $1.66–$2.48 per 480p video depending on the pack. Packs start at $9.90. There is no subscription and credits never expire.
Do I need a prompt or a CapCut template?
No. There is no prompt, no app and no template. We wrote the shot and make the video in your browser, on a phone or a computer.
What happens if a video fails?
Its credits go back to your balance automatically. A failed free preview usually frees up your preview so you can try again.
Which AI model makes the video?
ByteDance's Seedance video model. The camera moves and timing follow the viral clip, but every frame is newly made from your photos.
What happens to our photos?
They are used only to make your video and are deleted automatically, with the videos, after 30 days. Only upload people who agreed to be in the video. Photos of celebrities and public figures are not allowed, and only a parent or guardian may upload a photo of a child.
Is this affiliated with PSY or TikTok?
No. Gangnam Style AI Dance is an independent tool, not affiliated with PSY, YG Entertainment, TikTok, CapCut or the people in the original videos.
